Yeah this has been long pending. Started on another travelogue meanwhile - this Oct's Central India trip. Will take up this one soon.

Lots of information gathered from your t-log.
Will be doing a similar trip to Jim Corbett and Kumaon upto Munsiyari in my Figo. Dates have been fixed and with the help of HV Kumar Sir the route has also been finalised.

I am likely to go to Kumaon again next month. Another drive from Bangalore, through the N-S corridor this time.

Pangot - Chaukori (or equivalent) - Munsiyari (incl. Khuliya Top) - Binsar and back.

Old photos from the 2012 trip. Never got time to finish this travelogue. Now heading to some of the same places next month. Don't expect good peak sightings, and won't be there during full moon time. But the rain and mist should be interesting.

Will be ~7000 km round trip as per my rough calculations.

Route: Bangalore - Hyd - Pench - Gwalior - Agra - Pangot - Gangolighat - Munsiyari - Binsar - Corbett - back through the Western route.

If i may ask the dates when you are planning to go? I am driving from 7th June from delhi and returning on 14th June. Have booked a zoomcar for the vacation.

I will be starting from Bangalore on 5th or 6th June. 3-4 days to reach the mountains, will be driving in a relaxed manner unlike my usual cannonball runs.

You had mentioned in my last thread that you are planning to drive up to Munsyari again. Why don't we both tag together for this drive? Our cameras would weave magic together, trust me.

This was my first trip when I shot RAW. Was using a D90. Learnt post processing after the trip.

Ha. I was not planning to take too many photos this time, but will be carrying my gear, and maybe will get into the mood once I reach the mountains

Booked KMVN Mukteshwar, been planning to go there for ages.

Am planning a trip in the month of August, but am not sure/aware of the kind of rainfall the region gets. Is it advisable to visit during August, if it gets heavy rainfall then we would most likely avoid. Thank you
