Ya, I heard about this from our frequent vistor of Goa - Arvind.

But still, as a first time visitor, I loved every inch of the visible sea along the cost!!!

And I cannot agree more with Arvind's initial dialogue.

"People will get addicted if they visit Goa once, and be wanting of more visits"

How true it is!

Hi,

Nice start to the travelogue with the amazing pics. I like your style of narration and the captions you have given for each photo. Could you also mention the route taken. Waiting for more Sir.

First, let me thank Arvind for these pictures, since they are from his lens. Really beautiful captures both pictures and composition.

Some more treasures, from the lens of Arvind. Now, no captions to these, I am afraid I can do any justice.

So, here it comes with the only caption - "To your eyes, through Arvind's eyes"

Re: Lightning visit to Goa!

Some more pictures before we call it a day. We were little lost in trying to find this place "Humble Rock".

Finally, we went almost next to it, but could not access the entrance. We thought we came in wrong direction, and trying to return. It was then we figured out that the way was right, its just that the Villa do NOT belong there

Lightning visit to Goa!-dsc_0165.jpg

Probably, he constructed the Villa, and then tried to find path to the main road!!!

Check in and the first thing we did was to have a excellent egg burjji with bread. Thanks to Mrs.Arvind for coming up with such a idea. It was such an relief after those looong drives.

Then the next first thing we did was to get lost in the pool. Had a wonderful time in the pool till it was dark. And we had Dinar who joined us in the villa, and headed out for the dinner.

We all friends, went to Friends to have dinner.

And then we crashed with only thing in mind - TO SLEEP LIKE DEAD.

Good night folks.

Re: Lightning visit to Goa!

Very well narrated and great images, I virtually enjoyed the trip. Looks like you guys had very good experience with the place, please share more details and more pictures. I'm yet to visit Goa and got some confidence that it can be a real quick weekend (3-days) trip.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. But ya 3 days trip is very tight. But can be utilized if you start early as we did. Detouring to Hubli have costed us almost 2.5 hrs, and with additional stops for the pics and lazying around we would have lost may be another hour or so.

So, even with a leisure driving, I am sure you can reach well before the noon in Goa. So, you can get half-a-day + 1 day + another 6-7 hours on day of departure.

This is just my opinion based on the recent trip. I am sure, there are more veterans out here who can comment and provide more ideas.

Hope it helps to plan, Good luck.

Re: Lightning visit to Goa!

Do you know what was the next day's plan? Did you got it right?

Ha, ha. Ya. Its a no surprise. We MUST play in beach.

So, we got ourselves ready by 7-7:15am, and headed to the Baga Beach. We were so early in the beach, with literally the beach empty.

Since we were early, got a beautiful parking slot, parked and almost forgot them till we were back, to get ourselves lost in the beach....

The ACT - silent after the ACTion.

Don't you know? I can convert salt water to sweet!

Lightning visit to Goa!-20130113_093928.jpg

So, once it was almost 9am, we started to feel the butterfly in our stomach. Oh, we are hungry. The previous day tired, and play in the beach have really triggered our appetite.

We initially thought of getting into the water sport before the breakfast, but then they were voted out by the crowd looking for breaking their fast.

So, off we go, again on the recommendation of tbhp-ian - Dinar.

When am I gonna get my breakfast!

Lightning visit to Goa!-img_0090.jpg

By the time we completed the breakfast, it was 11am. Hari decided to get back to room to take rest and wait for Dinar to join him.

Me and Arvind decided to move ahead and roam in the roads of Goa.

So, we went back to the room, got ourselves ready, and left to Panaji.

Now, every one of us became a Goans (atleast, that what we thought it would be like ) - ya, check our pictures later, and you will know.

A bit of social service !!!
Lightning visit to Goa!-dsc_0475.jpg

When we were roaming around, we got a call from Hari saying that he is visiting to the same place with Dinar and his friends. The plan was to have lunch here and then plan the evening visits.

But since we (Me & my family) had a late break-fast and also wanted to have some fun in the beach with the water sports, decided to skip the lunch and go on our own.
Never knew that, it was the best decision at that time

We waited for Hari and Dinar to reach there. Till then a Ice cream break.
Ya, I love Ice Cream!!!
Lightning visit to Goa!-dsc_0477.jpg

Hari and Dinar suggested us to visit to Miramar beach for good water sports since we have already visited Baga beach.

So we decided to start towards the Miramar beach while others left for the lunch.

Few more clicks on the way back to Parking.

A big disappointment was waiting for us in Miramar beach. There was no water sports available in the beach, and we were directed back to the Baga beach.

This is all we got in Miramar beach

Re: Lightning visit to Goa!

The next destination was to Baga beach. Back to the same place where started the day.

On the way back, noticed these beauties.

When we reached the beach, now it was crowded and with great difficulty got a parking. We went to the counter for water sports to check for the Jet ski and para gliding.

While they agreed my son for the Jet Ski, they did not encourage my daughter to have those fun. She was very disappointed, but we could not help.

The rate for the Jet Ski was Rs.300 and para Gliding was Rs.600.

Since we were all by ourselves, I decided to take care of the kids when my better half tried those sports.

It was the first time experience for us. Even when we were in Phi-Phi island, we did not had the courage to try these and never done it. This one was cool.

Few more clicks.
