Re: Civved : Kumarakom

I always put off reading a Lalu travelogue, since it takes away too much of my office time

Finished reading it two days back, and then again re-read yesterday at home. Had taken the same road through Kumarakom last week, but was not able to stop at any of the spots since was running late for the Chertala Tbhp meet. Your log has inspired me to make a more detailed visit next time!! Thanks

There are more of your logs that I've kept aside to be read on a 'rainy day', having just glanced through them

Re: Civved : Kumarakom

Very nice travelogue. It is so detailed that I felt like I am visiting these places. You saved us a lot of money.

My family visited Kumarakom last month when they had gone to native and they liked it. I intend to visit in the future, Insha Allah. Thanks for sharing the travelogue.

Lalu, Thanks for this one, recently had a similar experience when I visited my aunt's home in Kerala. Seeing these took me back 3 decades as you rightly said (to those wonderful summer vacations spent there)!

Hi laluks, each and every travelogue of yours is wonderful and truly inspirational. Your photography skills and narrations are top notch.

We can feel each place visually that you have visited. I am on a trip to kumarakom from 13th sep to 16th sep. Its this travelogue that helped me to finalize the destination.

Just one query, what is the exact location of that 'Toddy Parlor Restaurant' ?. Those Kari meen, Beef fry, etc., are the first preference on our to do list.

Thanks Jetta_Volkmann for the kind words.

The restaurant is near Kumarakom Bird sanctuary. If you are coming from Kottayam side, the restaurant will be on your right side some 500m before reaching the bird sanctuary.

Have a great trip
