| Civved : Devarayanadurga What happens when you have friends who call you late in the night and tell you to meet them some hundred kilometers away for breakfast? I get a conference call on a Saturday night from LukeSkywalker and Starvegabond telling me the plans for the breakfast family meet and a drive the next day. The plan was to have Thatte Idlis at Tumkur and a drive to Devarayana Durga. How can I even say no  Thus an impromptu drive to Devarayanadurga happened overnight! Devarayanadurga, Here we come! | Re: Civved : Devarayanadurga 09.06.2013 Sunday As decided over the conference call we all left our respective homes as early as 05:30AM. Lukeskywalker and Starvegabond drove from their homes as a convoy via some beautiful interior roads and reached Dobbaspet Toll Gate by 07:00AM. The moment they exited the Toll gate, I joined them after my fun ride via NICE road. It was absolutely timed so well, that after parking our cars near Pavithra Idli Hotel we directly went in for our share of breakfast. Pavithra Idli Hotel  The thatte idlis were quite famous and we ordered butter idlis with vadas and coffee. Butter Idli's with Vada   We chatted for a long time as it was a while since we all have caught up from our busy schedules. In the meanwhile a lot of Idli's were consumed too. By about 07:45AM we finished our breakfast and decided to start our drive Lukey and family with his Black Storm  The cars ready for the drive to Devarayanadurga Hills  Devarayanadurga, Here we come  We entered the state forest reserve   Devarayanadurga was another 7 Kilometers  The roads were beautiful  Indeed it was!  Lukey getting some clicks, the smile says it all  We reached Namada Chilume by 08:00AM  continued... |

| Re: Civved : Devarayanadurga 09.06.2013 Sunday We were here  Some Information  Entrance to Namada Chilume  We all got in  We were greeted by this mom and baby  There were a lot of deers too  I fed this guy with some green grass, his eyes twinkled  This guy was eating the tree's bark  He gives me a look  And continues with his job!  The kiddies were enjoying the open space  Jr. PPG with Jr. Lukey  continued... |

Honda Siblings  Civvy gets clicked  Drool  A shelter half way for people trekking up the hill  Black Storm approaches  We have already visited Yoga Lakshmi temple, I visited Bhoga Lakshmi temple in 2009  Towards Bhoga Lakshmi Temple  We moved on  There are still other areas of interest, may be some other time  Distances and Points of Interests   By 12:00 we reached Tumkur back, and took a shortcut through Dabbaspet to Yelahanka continued... |

| Re: Civved : Devarayanadurga 09.06.2013 Sunday Just after Dabbaspet we found jack fruits being sold  The yellowish one was tastier than the orangish ones  The vendor wanted thrice the market rates  The team drooling over jack fruit, finally Lukey striked a deal and we got the fruit for a decent price.  By 13:30 we reached Pizza hut at Sahakara Nagar for Lunch  By 14:30 we walked into Swensons for some Ice creams   Lukey trying to clean out the cash register  Kiddies deciding what they want  Waiting for the order!  The Mega Sundae!!  And there, the order fully executed  It was tough to keep the kiddies away to click a picture of the loot  By 15:30 we all were full, and decided to disperse to their respective homes for some rest. I reached back home by 16:00 hours. I could not control my urge for the sweet jack fruit we picked up en route. I got into action and got the pieces out from the big fruit. In no time the jack fruit too vanished !!  What a wonderful day it was. Thank You Lukeskywalker and Starvegabond for the sudden plan and fun filled day!! The End |
