+1 to that line. I always think the same and I have never been to Munnar and Kumarakom, which are so near to me.

I must say the snaps are so nice, especially the top station snaps

The droplets snap was a wallpaper quality stuff. Envy your photography skills brother. Have you done any post processing of these snaps ?

Cheers

Thank you for your kind words voyageur.
And congrats on your 100th post

I have not done any post processing of the snaps.
However, I have changed the settings in the camera for each click.
There are preset settings in my cam which are set for various light settings like inddor/ party/ landscape/ lowlight/ sports/ portrait/ and so forth. I just switch to one of those.

Otherwise, I am not too much aware of what shutter speed to use when and how much of exposure to give.
I am hoping that our Kochi photography specialist vaisakhr would give me some lessons on these. May be in the next drive meet to Munnar on 19th of October

I think your photos are very good indeed. The thing is they get the message across well. Munnar is a truly lovely place. I don't think the camera has been invented, that can do justice to what one can see and enjoy with one's own eyes!

Excellent pictures, Mr Menon.
Kerala has been in my bucket list since long, and now Munnar specifically has joined in, thanks to this sweet travelogue.

Thanks for sharing.

Not only Munnar, You would be delighted to visit Thekkady, Nelliyampathy and the forests of Wayanad. Awesome places

I am hoping to visit some "not so frequented" near Munnar soon.
As soon as within 10 days.

I had visited Munnar in 2010 while I was in Mysore - awesome place. Loved the tranquility all around, made a mental note to come back sometime during the monsoons. Let's see when that materializes!

Awesome pictures dhanushmenon. Munnar looks bewitching through your lens.

Its amazing how you take time out to travel the length and breadth of the country. The new fella coming to your garage is going to like it very much.

Great going, Dhanush. Two hillstation logs from you back to back - finding it hard to stay on ground, eh? Brilliant snaps, btw.

Was there in Munnar in May - must say not the right time to visit with the boisterous crowds everywhere you turn. Have to make one more visit sometime during the post-monsoon season, maybe next season!!

Yeah. May is not the time to visit Munnar. Two reasons:
1) Vacation time- You can find everyone from the Member of Parliament to the local streetside vendor there. Would be too much of crowd
2) Munnar is best to be visited after the monsoons have subsided.

All the best for your holiday plans.
Do visit before the fall of march.
The greenery dies down after that till monsoons

Ideally the best time to visit is after August and before Feb

I stayed at Blue Haze Resort near Pallivasal.
I am not aware of the booking procedure of KTDC

Hi Dhanush,

Your portraits makes the picturesque Munnar even breath taking.

Its great to see Munnar in its full glory.

How is the area where the landslide happened ?

You didn't encounter any rain while climbing right ?.
