I have been a fan of your travelogues but this you left me speechless this time round. After your Ladakh thread, I had made up my mind to visit it anyhow. Now you have raised the bar even higher. Keep going (and keep inspiring me).

Btw, those clicks are amazing, surreal. After staying in crowded cities, it is difficult to imagine such places on earth.

OT: Ever thought of driving your white elephant to Norway?

One word Tanveer. Beautiful!! Your travelogues (and general threads too) make my day. The moment I opened your thread by clicking on picture on the TBhp homepage and saw it is from you, I was glued. Have thoroughly enjoyed your threads on Switzerland travel, the chandartal/ladakh log and your car buying experience too. Please keep it coming.

What wonderful pictures. The sky pictures are simply out of the world. Guess you are a huge fan of starry sky pictures. Hope there are a lot more pics to come. Glued!!!

Re: Sonata Arctica : Chasing the Aurora

Some great pics those, Tanveer. Thank you for sharing this magnificent TL. Your pics remind me of Canada in more of less the same way. The Mountains, the Glaciers, the Snow Covered Lakes and most of all, the dazzling Aurora Borealis in the North.

I have been fortunate enough to witness Northern Lights during my stay in Yellow Knife in Canada. It was back in Feb 2009.

Now don't make us wait more and pour in more details.

Re: Sonata Arctica : Chasing the Aurora

Outstanding. Went over the photos twice before noticing the descriptions between them. All the superlatives in my head are fighting for a place here.

Going to start from again so I don't miss anything out.

Re: Sonata Arctica : Chasing the Aurora

Are there no people at all in the country side?
All I see is a couple walking down a cliff, and another with a ghost
The rest are all animals

Re: Sonata Arctica : Chasing the Aurora

So which were from Nex and which were from the DSLR? Was it just Norway? And how long did it last ? The Fjords for sure are a sight to behold.

Re: Sonata Arctica : Chasing the Aurora

Wonderful writeup Tanveer Sir. Better than the best

Scandinivia is breathtakingly beautiful. Would love to see more of the Fjords, Raindeers and a few Sledges too. I am totally hooked on to this one. Terrific start.

Voted this thread a truly well-deserving 5-stars !!
