I came across this article on the net, which states that traffic is barred in Thimpu every Tuesday of the week. Does anyone of you know about any such restriction?

Same question here,
We are planning a Bhutan Trip and we expect to reach Thimphu on a Tuesday morning. The trouble is, we cant reach there earlier as Phuentsholing immigration is not open on weekends. One day delay to pass Thimphu would seriously affect our otherwise packed schedule.

I have read over internet that the new government banned the pedestrian day. But to me it looks like too noble an idea to be discontinued.

Can anyone advice the real status of pedestrian day as of now please?
