Thanks nilanjanray. Well as for TL , i would have certainly love TL to be more elaborate than the current one, shortage of time is the main culprit. I have another 4 to 5 TL still pending to share.

Can you tell us what camera/lens you used?
Thanks dutta_d1. Gobbon WLS is a great place. Should visit. Wished my macro lens was with me. Do take one, in case you own one.
Lens i was using Tamron 150 - 600. All shots were hand held.

So what time the ticketing counter opened so as to take the elephant safari at 5:30 and the jeep safari at 7:30?
Thanks GD bhia. As for your query , The central zone is the most in demand zone and opposite to ticketing counter. Western zone is 20 kms from Ticketing counter.

Elephant safari can be clubbed with Jeep safari in Central zone only. Since other zone far, it would be tight to combined both.

How did the lens perform?

What shutter speed and ISO were you shooting, mostly?

I am thinking of going for the Nikon mount.

I would like to thank you for the detailed showcase of nature and beauty! I am from that part of the country and it does make it feel at home looking at the pics.
Cheers!

I do agree that being a UNESCO World Heritage site, it should have been uplifted and highlighted more than how it is now. The North East part of our country have many more jewels, if harnessed well, can be a major revenue boosting avenues.
Kaziranga is know for elephant grass, and normally towards the starting of Q2 every year, they are burnt down making the animals more visible when doing the elephant/jeep safari.

When I was at my office HQ in one of the the Scandinavian countries, I was a little amazed to find a conference room named "Kaziranga". Someone in that far flung geographical region does know what it is all about and made it prominent! Cheers to that individual!

I usually used ISO 200 , 400 and 800. I ensured that i didnt go below 1/250 and i feel 1/400 at 500mm or above had good result.

I liked this lens. Fast and sharp with in its parameter.

Wonderful travelogue. Assam and the North East in general is truly amazing in terms of flora and fauna. I wish only if our government had tried little more to promote these areas and marketed those to overseas tourists in a better way. The place badly needs funds, I guess.

Thanks Sachin. I went with Canon Edge photo tour operator - Nature Wanderers. There is a distinct advantage to go with such operators even though it become little expensive. It costed 26k for the trip plus flight cost from Delhi Guwahati Delhi.

Contact details , check out their website.
