Lol, you could look at it this way too.

Guruji was busy cleaning himself after enjoying a few ice creams, he did not bother to send a boat!

The journey was fun, topping it up was the spirited driving of IJS

I feel trip to Sakrebailu is worth only for the beautiful road which leads to there.
Unlike other JLR properties this one does not offer much from a wildlife point of view.
True that, especially if you are coming back from Thirthahalli. This place doesn't warrant a drive on its own, could be a place in your bigger plan. Even if it is not, nothing missed!!

Great pics Lalu,

Place was little offbeat but what the heck, I loved nice drive and awesome company. We should do it more often.

Re: Storme'd : Sakrebailu

So what if the place is mediocre, am sure the company of the people and the journey itself was most enjoyable
Excellent pictures as well Lalu, Thanks for sharing

Yes, as you rightly said, the place is just worth a visit enroute. We visited on our trip to Tirthahalli and enjoyed the quick stops at Sakre Bylu & Gajanur Dam. Mandagadde had too much water and was not accessible so we gave it a miss and just stopped nearby to get a glimpse of the place.

Re: Storme'd : Sakrebailu

What a feeling to drive Safaris in a convoy. Owning a Safari, I always wanted to do that.

Nice pics and crisp report. As NPV has said, it is not the destination that matters but the company we have that matters.

Re: Storme'd : Sakrebailu

Finally a 'laluks' travelogue after a very long time, though the 'power puff gang' seems to be missing from the action. Look forward to seeing the complete team in action, sooner than later

Thanks khoj bhaiyya. PPGs would have joined this trip had it been in September, but C2C were having issues with other dates. Hence I joined alone.

Many trips have happened, but without PPGs, probably I should take off to some place with them soon.

Re: Storme'd : Sakrebailu

After living and driving a sedan for many years, driving an Aria surprised me. So did a Storme. They behave quite well, and I was pretty much at home. This was a very well maintained new Storme of VK.

A video of me taking Storme for a spin

Disclaimer : I am not a Tata fan, nor a SUV fan. This is just my impression after taking it for a spin for some 20 odd kilometers in winding roads. I do not know how much it takes to maintain the vehicle like this. Probably the Safari MEN can explain the upkeep and friendship required with TASS.

Congrats to the C2C group for completing its 1st anniversary! Guruji must consider getting it legally registered now and start filing taxes.
