Re: Lost Treasure - Ladakh!

Awesome snaps Dry_Ice, thanks a lot for sharing. We can't get enough of Ladakh even with so many pictures and travelogues available on tbhp. One question though, no picture of the steed that took you to these places?

You somehow manage your best of pals to company you on this trip. Great.
You manage just about 5 days of leaves. And are hell bent on going by road. Not so good. Not good at all.
The trip happens. Great.
You lose your photos to a hard drive crash. Crap!
You have already formatted the memory cards. Oh dear lord!

Until..

One day you discover a backup tucked away somewhere in your old laptop. Top of the world, again!
Now, that's almost a miracle
And we got lucky with a chance to see these wonderful photographs, Thanks for sharing.

Tell me about it! I was so excited I couldn't stop myself from posting them here even before I finished the RJ log. Glad you liked the pics.

Actually they were Steed's'. Delhi Jammu was a relative's Scorpio. Jammu Leh was a Xylo cab. Leh and around was again a Scorpio. Didn't click the cabs. :P

Now need to take my steed there.

Haha.. Well its Tanveer who has made it a lot easier for all us virgins. It proved to be invaluable in our trip. Sure, will ping if I plan something. A 4wd rescue vehicle is always good to have in Ladakh for attempting some adventurous routes.

Re: Lost Treasure - Ladakh!

Great reminder of our legendary trip DryIce.

Let me see if I can find some clicked from DSLR. Ironically my Harddrive crashed a few weeks back.

Although I may have some backed up here and there. Will share. The drive back from Srinagar to Delhi was a great Sprint.

Re: Lost Treasure - Ladakh!

Hat's off to the beautiful pictures there abhinav but then we are now used to some mind blowing pictures always in your TL's.

Even I have been contemplating with the idea of going to explore this beautiful side of our country. Don't forget to ping me in case you are looking forward to making a convoy whenever you plan next.
