Thankfully my family is flexible about timelines, be it starting early or driving late at end of the day. Last year we did a Himachal drive which was again close to 9K Kms and on some days we had to either start early or drive late into the night. The boys were okay with it without any complaints

By the way, thanks for reviving this thread, I went through to it again and relived the memories.
