Yes you are correct we were entering the 'Off Track' and we did see you 3. Probably next time we can bump in for a quick round of Hellos.

The road was all muck and broken, how did you guys manage with the Bonnie? Did it scrape any part?

STriple should not be having any challenges on that terrain

PS: Small world eh!!!

Small world for sure . The bonnie took the roads quite well, infact he was the only one who stood on the pegs and took off. Didn't touch or scrape anywhere. Striple was fine but standing up was painful for the rider after the bit, I tried standing up and gave up in a few meters. Clip ons and sport bike suspensions just don't go together with that style of riding.

But an amazing experience for sure.

Yes there is a route where you can ride from Mullayanagiri to Kemmangundi. We took a detour before the Baba Budangiri and took an off beaten route to reach Muthodi.

Mr Damu, How can I forget you ? Did not know you were on Team BHP though
No this is not the same RD which I had in college. Had to sell her but was replaced with another RD.

Have put in my journey with RD in a separate thread.

For a kid biker like me, the RD is something of a legend. Hope to ride one of those beauties at least once in my lifetime.

Great travelogue ku69rd.
Keep riding.

Hey I too started on the RD when I was a kid (19 when I bought my first RD), so do not worry you will get there if you are really keen & intent on having one.

Thanks for your kind words.

Sure why not, you should take her out for a spin. For my Next ride am planning to do it on my Yezdi Roadking

Just ensure that the Carburettor is cleaned well and have the tank checked for any dust/dirt. She should be a neat ride. Do post her photos on your Garage so that I can drool over her.

Between nice thread with some quality pictures. It's always refreshing to see the RDs in such supreme condition & performing how it has to

Hi,

Yes there were loads of peope doing the trekking and still lot more people doing it in their cars. The sheen of the place is lost, do not have any expectations of peace, calm & serenity. A few days back I had done a solo ride on my TB and the place was so very welcoming, soothing and calm. It made us move out of the place as quickly as we came.

Thanks for your compliments on the RD, yes she has been serving me well from the past 11 years.

Hello Mahesh,

Really it was like a blast from the past. I just saw this today (was having a little driving holiday of over 1,400 Miles in Scotland and Northern England )

Wonderful reading, to say the lease

Please please plan something where I can join in as well.

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Ram

Hi Ram Sir,

Sure will plan and let you know. We are planning for another ride this September. Apparently my riding guys have got lot of JOSH post the Muthodi Ride and are now planning to have a ride at least once in two months.

But you will have to ride your RD though

Re: RD350 Diaries: Weekend Getaway to Muthodi (Karnataka)

This is precisely why I insist on you getting the RD to our rides

The sound of the twin engine and the way it revv's like fresh butter, nothing comes close.

I'm sure you had a blast on this ride. Eagerly looking for the next one, hopefully soon after the rains are done.

Ride safe.
