Thank you. I had been researching the Nawabs of Murshidabad some time ago, and plan to visit sometime. My special interest in the Wasif Manzil is because of a family connection which I managed dig out from the internet:

The Bengali engineer mentioned above, Surendra Barat, was my maternal great-grandfather, who worked for the Nawab Amir-ul-Omra.

He was gifted a gold pocket watch by the Nawab in the year 1914 for his contribution to designing & restoring the Wasif Manzil.
