Kids woke up and after their morning chores they were all dressed up and ready for the upcoming day. Felt quite refreshed after a long sleep on comfy bed, last day was a full day a of drive and a day that started early. Made some coffee, watched some news. News were mostly about the forest fires in and around Shimla. Took a nice long hot shower and got ready for breakfast. By 08:00 we were all ready to visit the restaurant for breakfast. Ladies ready for breakfast  Corridors were empty  Either the whole crowd is having breakfast, or they have already left for sight seeing  Not a soul around!!  We enjoyed the loneliness at the resort! Added more pictures to our kitty   Some outhouse as seen from the restaurant  Even the lounge was empty  A painting  An event for dinner time  A look at the resort!  I checked with the reception as to whether the resort has any other occupants. To my surprise, the resort was fully booked. The day being a Sunday most have gone to Shimla Mall Road as per the info with the travel desk guy! Could be true, but for us the peaceful morning was quite a nice welcome. continued... |

Took a turn and checked out the backside of the resort. Board says Basalatti some 16Kms. Turned back immediately as it was unimpressive around there  Shimla another 10Kms!  OMG, fallen cars!!   Views of Shimla  Shimla ahead, but we turn off here towards Kufri  Turnoff to NH5 to Kufri People have stopped en route for some Valley Views  Valley Views Spot near Kufri There were Yaks too  continued... |

Paid parking and option for horses  Horses  We were not very much impressed, we moved on  Himalayan Nature Park  Entry to the Park, we moved on  Driving past Kufri Himalayan Nature Park Gundaghat ahead!!  Chail 23Kms  Chail 18 Kms... unimpressive drive!  Guess the tree was hit by lightning!!  continued... |

I was getting impatient and bored and family were yawning as if the whole episode looked boring for them. A little later to break the monotony I decided to stop the car near a little opening to the hill. Thankfully it became an instant hit with the girls and they got out to stretch their legs, but continuing to yawn heavily. I let them be and tried my luck at some pictures. Some entity at a distance   Some Hotel in the making? Its concrete everywhere   Meanwhile Ladies tried to make better of the situation  We were happy to see some wild life, though unexpected  The tree covered hills looked nice   Eco Sport wondering whats happening around!!  A click for memories with Eco Sport  With this break some energy levels returned and we started onward to Chail Kanta 4 Kms  continued... |

The fork takes to Dublu in 15Kms   We moved on and reached Chail Palace Entrance  Entry is Rs 100 per person!!  Entering Chail Palace continued... |

No civic sense at all. This created a commotion there in no time! DL11CA5142, if any of you knows this fellow - do send a word to get some civic sense in this fellows head  I parked the car further away. I walked back to the entrance. It was 12:30 hours  Nice lawn they had with benches and chairs   Girls taking a stroll on the lawn enjoying the bright sun, with palace in background  Cafe Royal  continued... |

Apple Cider is all over social media as the best thing that reduces weight by burning fat!!  DISCLAIMER : TEAM BHP has strict reservations on drinking and driving. These pictures are used here for information purposes only. HP makes wine from many fruits like Peach, pear, strawberry, apple, cherry, grapes and even from their state flower Rhododendron. These are good wine or not only a wine connoisseur would know. But for the traveler like us this was quite a surprise to see them bottled and sold at many outlets. continued... |

A temple dedicated to Kali on a hill top. Normally this place is known for the sunset views from there. But since it would be a logistical nightmare for us to watch sunset here and reach Mashobra, we just planned to visit this place for the drive part. It is a deviation from this road inside. Route showing the deviation from the Main road at A towards Kali Tibba  The main road takes a U turn, and the road to Kali Tibba is a left turn at the U turn  There is a sign board which says Kali ka mandir this way  Little Further the road forks. Check point B in the map.  We take the right road here towards Kali Tibba. Left goes to Fern Hill resort and further I suppose  2 KMs more to Kali Tibba  Again a fork. This time we take left to Kali Tibba  You'll see Kali Tibba up the hill once you take the turn here  And we reach the entrance of Kali Tibba  It is built like a Fort  The Entrance to the temple  Ample parking Space  Drive to Kali Tibba Its a 4Km drive from the U turn on the main road. continued...
