Another report in the "Auto" supplement of The Economic Times" by a participant - a girl with last name of Miglani. Her brother also participated separately. No mention of how either of them fared.

Thanks aZa

Hey aZa dude, where did you get this mag from? I thought it was a small local publication in Chandigarh only. Well we didn't go to the Raid to get famous, but we aren't complaining.

If only all this publicity brought me some sponsors for the next edition...

Hi Friends,
Sorry to start the topic all over again. I am very much interested in participating in this year's Raid (in Adventure category). I have 2006 Baleno Vxi with stock tyres (15"), stock suspension, Alloy wheels. Is it advisible to do raid with this car or else should I get hold of some old Esteem or Gypsy (which is of great demand in Bangalore).

What are the damages will the car undergo. Is one spare tyre sufficient? If I need to carry extra wheel how to fix it (carry it)? Do I need extra / aditional fuel tank? What sort of Trip meter is required. Is simple analog tripmeter is sufficient or should I go in for TerraTrip.

Can any one tell me how much does Terratrip cost? Which is better 202 or 303? Where is it available in Bangalore?

Please tell me how to transport the car to simla. Is it a good Idea to drive? How much will be the cost of Transportation?

Please suggest me. I am badly in need of your suggessions and recomendations. Please.......

Regards,

K.Nagaraj

I chanced upon this thread and read interestingly through all of it.

Coincidentally, that "girl with last name of Miglani" is called Divya Miglani and is a close friend and batchmate of my wife's. A small world indeed!

And a next door neighbour of mine. Her brother also participated and won third place in his category in the Extreme, some achievement that.
