Re: Ashtavinayak - A travelogue

Guys, I found this itinerary and description online (Shree Ashtavinayak Yatra Online,Ashtavinayak Darshan,Temples of Lord Ganesha,Ashtavinayak Temples,Eight Ganesha or Ashtavinayaka Located in Maharashtra.Ashtavinayak Yatra covers eight holy temples of LorD Ganesha), can someone confirm if the sequence is correct?

Ashtavinayak Yatra covers eight holy shrines of Shri Ganpati Temples in Maharashtra. Ashtavinayak yatra starts from Mayureshwar of Morgaon after blessing here go to Siddhatek & have darshan of Siddhivinayak, after this comes Ballaleshwar of Pali, Varadvinayak of Mahad is on the fourth place. Then come to Theur & have darshan of Shree Chintamani & get rid of all your Chintas (worries). Then come out, of Pune & go to Girijatmaj on Mountain lenyadri near Junnar & then have darshan of Vighneshwar of ozar. After this go to Ranjangaon & have darshan of Mahaganapati & then again come to Morgaon & complete the Yatra.

I had posted detailed route somewhere in route query section about ashtvinayaka darshan.

Sequence should be
morgaon-siddhtek-ranjangon-ozar-lenyadri-pali-mahad-theur-morgaon.

This sequence is more practical.

I also suggest to stay at bhimashankar after completing darshan at lenyadri.

Thanks Ashish rao; is this also the religiously recommended sequence if there is one at all? I would like to avoid any comments from certain people later!!
Also, do you have any recommendations of where to stay in Bhimashankar?

Would it be more convenient to complete this in 3 days for people who cannot leave/ wake up early? (read as selfdrive!)

1] As per sequence, one should start from morgaon and end at morgaon.
You can visit any temple as per your choice but start and end should be at morgaon.

2] Hotel blue mormorn at bhimashankar. Its only descent place in bhimashankar to stay. I stayed at that place two times.

3] The route i mentioned can be completed in two days easily but you can stretch it for three days.

Re: Ashtavinayak - A travelogue

I am planning 3 days Ashtavinayak trip with wife. Going through this tread and one other travelogue on Ashtavinayaka, I have finalised follwoing route

Day 1: Mumbai - Pali - Mahad - Rajangoan - Pune
Day 2: Pune - Theur - Moregaon - Sidhtek - Pune
Day 3 : Pune - Lenyadari - Ozhar - Mumbai via Kalyan

Has anyone done Ashtavinayaka yatra recently? How is the road conditions?

Another thing is we are planning to make Pune as base. So any suggestion for good hotels in Pune (there would be many but specificaly those on travel path would be more suitable) that we could consider?

Re: Ashtavinayak - A travelogue

Here is the route - perhaps from religious perspective.

Unfortunately Google maps does not allow me to add any more locations. So, from Nagar road in Pune, the whole trip is around 1200 KM's.
I hope the locations I have put are correct.

However, as you can see you need to travel from east to the west and then back to the east - and this adds to the total mileage.
