Re: Road Trip to Kanyakumari & Rameswaram on Durga Puja

Mdas,

Well written and complimented with beautiful pictures.

Dhanushkodi is in my bucket list since some time now. Your thread should make me drive there soon. Thank you.

The S-cross pic with green mountains and the mist is mesmerizing.
Overall I believe, the route is also scenic all through TN.

Lastly, the drive was also a test of Morimoto. The light output is just phenomenal.

Drive on, Drive Safe !

Re: Road Trip to Kanyakumari & Rameswaram on Durga Puja

A very beautiful, short and crisp travelogue, especially well timed for me as I plan to be driving from Bangalore to Kanyakumari on 20th Oct. The icing on the cake was the road to dhanushkodi video. Just beautiful.

Thanks for sharing with us this wonderful travelogue. The pics are beautifully captured. The grand mix of ghats and ocean is just mesmerizing to see.

Also, I have a similar problem with headlights on my Ecosport and would love to upgrade, albiet I have done quite a bit of night driving on stock lights, I always feel handicapped driving n the night. Your setup seems to be working great, not sure if it will fit the Ecosport, although some threads have suggested XP Micro Xenons in fog housing. Let me check that upgrade.

Thanks for the motivation for the drive and upgrade through this travelogue.

Re: Road Trip to Kanyakumari & Rameswaram on Durga Puja

I loved the pics and a very nice write-up!

Thirparappu Water Falls is crowded during holidays/weekends and parking space is another issue there.

Looks like you avoided the Nagercoil route to Thirparappu Water Falls, that was a good decision.

Lovely write-up. Kudos.

Thanks for the appreciation of Kalam Memorial. I am involved in a small way in it.

One thing. We are in the process of creating a website for the memorial.

Can you give your perspective as a visitor?

What all points should the website contain, to be of use to a person who wants to visit the memorial either in person or virtually?

All inputs from others too will be much appreciated.

Thanks justwheels. I think the Morimoto D2S Stage III is well suited for the Ecosport. I saw some youtube video earlier where the upgrade was done with the square D2S projectors. Also there is a bhpian on the ecosport tbhp thread who has sourced the Morimotos.

It's really great to know that you are involved with the beautiful memorial. In what capacity are you involved? I think presentation and content is already top notch. Probably addition of some audio visual or interactive presentations will be really useful. Thanks.

Am involved in its construction and maintenance.

Will surely consider your inputs.

We are also planning its website.

Will keep you posted for further feedback.

Thanks.

A very well written, simple travelogue that takes us through the entire journey

Dear all
I am whiteboarding the below plan for December. Request your view and feasibility of this below plan

Can you please review and let me know if this is feasible? /Doable?

Also, feel free to suggest if some halt need to be extended or shrinked.

Note: When I say LOCAL, it means, that day is dedicated for local visits (Say, if Rameshwaram, Dhanushkodi visit). Also, Departure and Arrival is applicable to driving the car. Not for local sight seeing. Example: ON 31st Dec, when I Say, 1 PM is the departure from Madurai, it means, we will complete all Madurai Local sight seeing by 1 PM from Morning 7 AM and leave to Bangalore at 1 PM.

Please suggest the local tourist spots that is must to visit at these places.

At present, the places for visit I have in mind is:

Srirangam: Sriranganatha temple
Rameshwaram: Ramanatha temple, Dhanuskodi, Pamban bridge (Can I go to Dhanushkodi with my Qualis? Please let me know if private vehicles are allowed OR I should hire Jeep?)
Kanyakumari: Vivekananda rock, Sunset, Suchindram
Trivandrum: Ananthapadmanabha temple
Alleppey: Shikari for 5 hours in back water

Your guidance and suggestions will be of great help
