Exiting the fort We stopped for tea outside the fort, and started toward Prodattur hotel by 18:30. We reached the hotel and settled in by 19:45. After a good hot shower we got down in the garden restaurant for some fun. By 22:00 hours we called it a day and hit the bed. |

Had a nice hot shower and planned and vouched to have a vegetarian breakfast for good health. We got out of the hotel and walked in search of the vegetarian hotel. We were shocked to see the street in which the hotel was having many meat shops, and they were butchering live goats. When we drove in the night to the hotel, the same shops were kebab corners!! We named the street Butcher and Barbecue Street  We found a Sagar Vegetarian restaurant next to BGR hospital and a theater. What does this mean? Composition Taxable Person ?  We ordered our Dosa's and there it's getting prepared hot hot  Dosas for us  Tasty one too  We ordered chai too. But was shocked to see the portion  See what I meant, probably its a shot of chai at 40ml   After a long breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and decided to start back for the day. As usual, we always tend to take a different return route. Today the idea was to drive to Bangalore after a quick darshan of Horsely Hills. Kungfu Panda had clocked 608 Kms on Day 01.  With just 300Kms back to Bangalore, we started at 10:00 to Horsely Hills and the drive back to Bangalore continued... |

Idea was to skip lunch to be lean, and feast only on fruits. There is an entry fee to Horsely Hills  Drive to Horsely Hills from the turn off from main road We stopped at Galibanda Viewpoint by 14:00  Just a huge rock and looking down to the valley  There were some people already there  We could walk down the rock, if you continue you will be able to go far, its not a sheer drop, its a slope  The shaded seating place is welcome in the scorching sun  Some rock formation  Some communication center  A video of the view point We were unimpressed with this viewpoint. Probably early morning or late evening with breeze and hues of the rising/setting sun might make something out of the place. Just a miss-able point of interest! By 14:15 we decided to drive around all the roads of Horsely Hills in search of something interesting. continued... |

Probably Wind Whistle and Wild Winds are the name of those complexes.  Governors Bungalow is inside the compound  This I believe is Wild Winds  Very old and huge trees  I welcomed the shade  Governors Bungalow  A view point  continued... |

We got inside the car and started to Bangalore. It was 14:45  But we were already crying in hunger, since the tender coconuts and all fruit diet was not helping on a very hot day. We were literally searching for a place to eat. Saw some small restaurants, but scary. We saw APTDC has a restaurant, just as we were about to exit. While we took the loop we mistook it to have only accommodation, yes it indeed has a restaurant and bar. Menu at APTDC Haritha  We saw Lunch was available from 13:00 to 15:00. We immediately got our lunch billed and took the plunge as it was almost 15:00 by then. Lunch was available as buffet  A simple vegetarian lunch. Oh boy, what a relief it was to the tired souls  By 15:30 we started our drive back to Bangalore with full tummies and happy faces. Drive back to the main road from Horsely Hills We reached back Bangalore by 18:30. Kungfu Panda munching 940 Kms for the trip  I filled in diesel before parking the car, Kungfu Panda gave a mileage of 15.9Kmpl for this drive, all thanks to the spirited drive of 400kms in 4 lane roads! |
