Re: A relaxing getaway to the Himalayas in a Duster AWD

A short and crisp, beautifully narrated blog. Some of the pictures of broken trees captures the very essence and unpredictability of Himalayas. Duster AWD takes on the terrains like it was born to do these Himalayas. This trip reminds me so much of our Sikkim trip in 2016. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful experience.

For that we start at 2000 hrs & reach by 1700 hrs the next day. So overnight hill trips are not much of a stretch. I would say it is not that difficult provided people undertaking them have enough practice or experience. Apart from saving a day it saves a lot of traffic trouble as well.
Very nicely said, to add to that for people who are staying > 1000 kms away from Himalayas we need to cover that up with 22-24 hours non stop drives and preferably night. Chewing gum helps a lot.

Thanks a lot Aritra !! Duster AWD is the best suited vehicle indeed. It takes you to untouched places with great comfort.

Lovely travelogue and awesome pictures. Did you engage the 4WD while going to Rishap or it was done in 2WD mode only?

Thanks SVK. The whole stretch was done in 2WD. The only time 4WD was engaged was when we were taking a U turn at a hairpin after Rishop.

Cheers,

Pawan
