Re: Video: Driving at the Stelvio Pass in the Fiat 124 Spider!

Just managed to watch the video - wonderful! Really well done
The pretty little MX-5 is a common sight on the roads here but unfortunately Fiat is not in the market. Though the Mazda has its own charm I feel the Italian version got a bit more masculinity to it.

This platform in an Italian suit (i.e. Fiat 124 Spider) looks better & more masculine for sure, in fact it almost ends up looking like an mini Dodge Viper. But overall i feel the MX-5 has grown more masculine compared to the previous gen MX-5.

Re: Video: Driving at the Stelvio Pass in the Fiat 124 Spider!

Okay, this is uncanny. I’d planned to drive from Milan to Stelvio, covering both Trafoi and Bormio sides on the 16th, and then head off to Luzern. I’d even booked a choice between 4C/718 with Dolce V Italy. It didn’t happen, for two reasons:

1. I forgot my license in India (I know!), and
2. I ended up doing a bike ride around the Tuscan Hills, covering remote areas.

As for my license, I could’ve made it work, let’s face it, this was Italy
I mean, I got the bike after showing my PAN card.

But I ended up choosing the bike ride because I was pleasantly surprised when I saw such a vibrant bike culture in Italy, and was just enticed. I’m going to get my first bike soon, so this was a great sneak.

Also, I’d read that Stelvio gets really busy during peak season, and I thought I’d do this on maybe another trip which won’t be in the high season.

Had I known you were going for this, I might’ve just joined you, if you would’ve liked that

Also, that 124 spider was a great choice!

Well done, but hope the rental company isn't reading this

Also Dolce V Italy is a very premium rental company, they already have a Lamborghini Urus in their fleet.

^ TRUE THAT ! I too was pleasantly astonished by seeing the amount of riding enthusiasts around.

I planned the Stelvio on a late Sunday afternoon (4:30pm ish) instead of the obvious morning hours or the 1st half of the day & IMO it was sweet timing indeed.

Well, the Urus is a $200,000 "commuter" SUV, but the fact that they are offering an 812 Superfast makes them premium, sure
Surprisingly though, their prices for the 718 were best amongst all the others I'd checked online. They even had the least usage restrictions in place.

I would've done the same, mostly because I can't do early mornings. I would've probably gone on even later.

Nice pics. But ouch Karan! Eating a Pizza with Cutlery is like eating a dosa or roti with cutlery! A no-go. Did you by any chance order a cappuccinno after this? Please tell me you didn't. My Italian colleagues would kill me if I do something like this. In tourisitc spots they are quite relaxed but do this in deep interior italy, even the barista will refuse to serve you a cappuccinno even if asked for.

Nope, not much into coffee. I believe i was having a Red Bull with the pizza so there was no question of having a hot beverage after having an energy drink

^ This car made the return of TURBO for Ferrari back to the racetrack around 20 years after the F40. Won WEC World Constructors trophy in 2017 & also got a podium at the 24hr EU Le Mans.

BUT the RAMBO LAMBO (LM002) is a MANUAL & V12, hence most true enthusiasts would pick this over the URUS any day !

My God - The DETAILS !!!

^ Someday !

Veneno is absolutely stunning in FLESH & IMO the most outlandish production Lambo ever (Mclaren attempted something similar with the Senna & i personally think the Senna is a joke in terms of styling especially the rear);
