Thanks Aditya. Iceland is quite alluring, and hence it would be great to see more snaps. The reason I asked it because you mentioned you clicked loads of snaps, and even ran out of memory.

Looking forward to them.

Wow, thank you very much for a detailed travelogue with amazing photographs. Iceland's black beaches (with black sand) with big ice cubes always fascinate me.

Re: Solo Road Trip in Iceland

Fantastic travelogue, that is a lot of driving in 8 days. I did the same circuit in 12 days but included the Isafjordur - Flateyri section too. Iceland is beautiful, truly a nature's paradise - and a wild one at that.

Thanks for the travelogue, great pictures too.

Any luck with wildlife?

Wow! Is this common? Having hotels that resemble these?

Thank you! I had planned West Fjords also when the duration was 10 days, however i reduced the trip to 8 days, so did not go there as that would mean a lot more driving. Would definitely plan another leisure trip again in the next few years.

In terms of birds I saw couple of puffins near the black sand beach (their viewing season gets over by mid Aug), however my camera started acting strange and hence could not get good shots. Other than that there were many seagulls and in the north - a whale.

I assume you are referring to the building structure. This hotel has a lot of land and their rooms/cabins are spread out. I would call it more like a guesthouse than a regular city hotel.
