Countries visited :
Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Korea, China incl HK, Thailand, Phillipines, Indonesia, Germany, France, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, U.S (California & Texas)

Driven in : Singapore, Germany. Both countries are a pleasure to drive in.

Indian states driven in : Delhi, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

btw, TSK1979 mentioned that you will surely get back your wallet if it is lost in Singapore. I wanted to say 'dont count on it'. I have lived in the country for a few years and that is so not true. The police there are even more complacent than Indian ones. I happened to leave behind my backpack with passport, tc's, cash, cards and other valuables in a taxi and never got it back. Got a 'even Mercedes get stolen and never found lah!' comment from the police there...... Didnt even get a follow-on call from the police there. A visitor left behind a brand new mobile phone pack in a taxi late in the night (purchased from Mustafa) and never got that back too.

Short summary will be keep the thread concise.
Abroad: Singapore, Germany, Nepal, Sri Lanka. Drove a Pajero in Nepal, narrow roads and car too big, didn't want to hit any, gave up after 30 minutes and switched to a bike. Singapore sat on a Civic and Germany sat on a WW Jetta. Germany autobann the best (I tried my best, was not allowed to drive). Sri Lanka is flush with Toyotas, didn't drive any.

India: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra, Goa, MH, Gujarat, Rajastan, MP, Orissa, UP, Punjab, JK, Hariyana, Uttranchal, Bihar, W. Bengal, Jharkand, Assam. Driven on most states on bikes and cars; when I travel on official busienss in India my field people and colleagues everywhere hand me over the keys to their vehicles and gladly make me their driver !!!!!! Have driven extensively in all states of south, Gujarat, Rajastan, Goa, Uttranchal and Maharashtra.
Best state: Uttranchal. Best state to drive: Rajastan, getting better everyday.

Abroad:

Countries Visited
: US- NY, NJ, CT, FL, PA, GA, SC, VA, DC, CA, MA, WV; England and Scotland, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Italy, Thailand, Nepal.

Countries Driven: US, England, Nicaragua, Domincan, Thailand.

Best Country(ies): The US, India, Scotland. Flipside - Dislike London and the burbs.

Best Country to Drive: Since I have driven extensively in the US - I would habe to say thats number 1 for me. And I dont mean driving on the expressways (I know there isnt any character - except for long straights and no cops!) but seriously if you take back roads around most towns and cities - it is something unique to itself. Others with this experience can attest.

India:

States Visited: Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal, UP, Mahrashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Goa, Haryana

States Driven: All except UP and Himachal

Best State: Toss up - Karnataka and Punjab

Best State to Drive: Haven't driven exstensively in the last few years on the new expressways. etc. As far as character and interesting drive's go it's a toss up between Punjab and Bengal.

I second that. Singapore has its fair share of cheaters & looters. Probably tsk1979 is referring to the incident where i returned an expensive mobile i found in the men's room. was that your friend's, tsk1979 ?
