Sothern Calif. weekend ride

The scenic roads and byways on highway 1 or the PCH (pacific coast hwy) have been my all time favorite. I still remember being blown away, after seeing a pic of this road in the cycle world magazine in early 90s. Anyways, I have always been a sucker for views with my bike in the frame. This time I took my camera with me, and took a few pics to share.

The railway track that runs on the coast. The pacific surfliner is a great train ride. But, train rides are for old people with broken backs not Bhp-ians right?

The Danish town of Solvang. You get yummy Danish cookies, pastries, and coffee.

Just off of Hwy 154, lies lake cachuma. Looks great on a day with clear skies.

Great pics... Loved the bikes...esp the honda goldwing..thats something you dont get to see too often.

The Gold wing is one sweet ride. The gold wing certainly has a cult following. There is nothing that is more comfortable. This guy was telling me he easily reaches speeds of above 100mph, and he can keep up with any sports bike on relatively straight roads. All this from a guy who was probably 70 years old. He was riding with his wife from Ontario Oregon. One day some day when I am 70 yrs old, I hope to do the same with my wife!
