Thank you all for liking this and providing the encouragement. This motivates me to take more such trips.

Re: 10 days of a super drive - Mumbai to South India

Thanks for sharing streetfighter. Wonderful pics.

Mysore Palace in all its glory. I took a picture of the palace a couple of years back:

Nice pics of the flora and fauna as well. Leopards in the wild are a rare sight. Lucky to spot one.

You must have enjoyed driving the Fiesta S on the ghat roads. Wonderful place to drive this car . Yeah, even I am waiting for more pics of the car with a stunning background as well.

Re: 10 days of a super drive - Mumbai to South India

Awesome TL, @Streetfighter. I read it all in one go, and loved the pictures, especially of the car!

Good to know that you also got a chance to explore the potential of the Duratec 1.6. Mine still runs great after 12 years!

I was not aware that the trip meter resets to zero after 1999 kms--I thought it does so after 9999. But I've not had a chance to see that as i invariably reset it when i tank up.

The pics of Mysore Palace at night were awesome. I'll keep it in mind when I next visit.

On public demand, I'm adding a few more photos of the Aquarius Sport, some pics are not recent. Being the solo driver and being the photographer at the same time is a bit of challenge

At Isha Foundation, before parking, I walked out to click a pic in front of the statue:

Mumbai to Southern India is a rare yet fun trip from what you have shared.
I have done Alleppey to North Goa and then into Hyderabad Long back, although not the best of stretch but definitely scenic western Ghat.
Keep travelling and sharing such beautiful blogs.

Re: 10 days of a super drive - Mumbai to South India

Hello streetfighter,

So nice to see 'another' 1.6S road trip.
i did a 5,500 km trip with my 1.6S from Delhi to Chennai in December 2018.
A pure fun car that is remarkably comfortable doing very long distances.
Too lazy to post a travelogue myself.

Cheers

Beautiful travelogue with stunning pics. Lucky you spotted leopards and other wildlife (not the case in our recent jungle safari). Loved the shade on your Fiesta, looks unique.
