Re: The Grand Tour of Scotland: NC-500 and Orkney Islands

Dare I say that when I saw the title of this thread in the hot threads box on the main page, I almost thought someone had tried out Hammond's (unmentionable ) 287. (Grand Tour reference)

Jokes apart, this looks amazing! Would love to visit the place with my family one day.

Re: The Grand Tour of Scotland: NC-500 and Orkney Islands

Lovely TR! Reminisced my time in Scotland. I lived and studied in Edinburgh, and lived for some years in different parts of Scotland, however, dare I say it, there are many places in your TR which I had missed.

Well alas another reason to go back to my Uni again and time for another road trip across the Highlands.

P.S. I too had equally enjoyed my road trip around the lake district and Wales (Snowdon)!

We had initially planned to do the NC500 and Wales together in 10-12 days. We only realised how big Scotland is when we got down to planning the details of our trip and decided to skip Wales. Wales will have to wait for another trip now!
