Re: Exploring Bhutan in a Tata Nexon

Is it petrol, automatic or manual?

How much KMPL?

Nice pictures and great write up.

It's petrol manual. Sorry I forgot to calculate the KMPL meticulously but it's around 17 KMPL for the whole journey.

Lovely travelogue Sujoy!

You successfully projected a three dimensional Bhutan tour through your crisp and factual narration.

Heartening to note that the Nexon petrol served you faultlessly throughout the journey. Gives me added confidence to take take my petrol Nexon and explore the wild blue yonder.

Take care, drive safe and keep travelling!

Thanx for your luvly comment. The car is really superb. You can't really find how effective the car is unless and untill it is stretched to it's limits. The more i drove this car on the hill my confidence kept on increasing. I'm sure the car won't disappoint you too.

Re: Exploring Bhutan in a Tata Nexon

Lovely pictures & travelogue. Everyone dreams of doing these long drives to heavens on Earth like Bhutan. But few have the commitment to actually go the distance. Great that you went ahead with it. 17kmpl is excellent mileage for a loaded petrol 1 ton car in those twisty-turney roads I must say.

Looking at the pictures its evident that you actually included the "travel" as a part of your holiday. Took your time to stop & take excellent pictures to cherish in future. Many a times these are skipped to save 10 minutes of travel time. Great that you didn't. Hope you continue such journeys & we get to read your travelogues more and more!

Re: Exploring Bhutan in a Tata Nexon

Wonderful travelogue Sujoy. Thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the place yet again through your eyes. Needless to say, it definitely brought back memories from my trip last year April.

Apparently, many of your frames looks similar to what I clicked too. I guess there's only so many angles to cover those beautiful locations.
Also, we stayed at the same hotels too; at Thimphu and Punakha.

Great log. Rated the well deserved five stars. Wishing you many more happy miles.

@Reinhard Thank you for the appreciation. You are absolutely spot on. My main objective was to enjoy the roadtrip rather than reaching the destinations. Never wanted to miss the stunning visuals while i was driving.

@dhanushmenon This is an honest confession. I gone through your Bhutan travelogue several times before finalising my itinerary. It was sort of a guiding light for a novice like me. Thank you for the lovely travelogue.

Yeah i maintained a log for the journey. It's mainly the distance and time. Initially forgot to incorporate the fuel into it so at the later stage didn't include it into the log.
