Re: An impromptu solo drive to the end of the land - Kanyakumari in my BMW

Very nice travelogue sir.... Happy to see the way you drove and enjoyed the solo drive. I happened to do a solo drive myself and can totally relate the feeling of meditation where you talk to yourself and the vehicle

Wow!
That was a quick and refreshing travelogue.
Travelogues like these teaches the importance of enjoying one's own company.
I have been through instances where the trip had got cancelled at the last moment.
All the excitement you get is punctured when your trip mates back down at the last moment.
The best part about a solo driving holiday?
You don't have to share the driver's seat

Absolutely agree. Not having to share the driving experience is a great advantage! I am very "greedy" about driving and love to do the entire driving myself in any road trip. A solo drive automatically gives you the 100% driving time :-)

Re: An impromptu solo drive to the end of the land - Kanyakumari in my BMW

I've gone through quite a lot of travelogues for sometime now and I've liked a lot of them, but I think that this has been the best one, so far.. not because of the destination, but because of the way how its been written/ presented. I appreciate the detailed pictorial representation and the attention to detail is magnificent! Please keep the good posts coming..

Excellent write up, it carried a reader with the travel. Driving solo is an art only a few appreciate. Also, I guess, we can cover long distances in a short time. While passengers onboard is always a distracted driving. Quite often we see this behavior with professional drivers. If they are on a one way pickup/drop, their solo timing would be remarkably faster.

I would love to go to Kanyakumari some day. I have been there only once when I was a school kid. I hardly remember anything from that trip now. Have a few friends who hail from Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and Tirunelveli. I wish to visit someday and your travelogue has reminded me once again. Thanks for sharing.

Your red 320d looks stunning with those backdrops.
