re: San Francisco - A two day walk-through

About the city, the most noticeable thing is the steep inclined streets. All intersections have mandatory STOP Signs where irrespective of any other vehicles, the driver has to stop completely, though for a moment, before continuing.
No respite even if one is driving uphill. Quite a strain on the engine.

For this very reason, the city boasts of Crooked Street. This is a steep One Way downhill road that has many curves. People come here just to have a fun driving down.

Cable Car. At the Lombard Street - Crooked Street crossing. A ride in the Car is another wish of any Visitor.

Costly ? Only when you start using the $ Exchange Rate against Indian Rupees, you feel the pinch

Cable Car is functional in the city and has a whole Museum to showcase it services. History, Components, Models of Cars are displayed with detailed writing.
Inside the Museum, we understand the Powerhouse and the Mechanisms involved to keep the Cars in motion.

With all above, I feel, I should conclude and wind up this part of San Francisco, though there is another bit that shall be shared later, separately.

Thank you all for viewing.

Re: San Francisco - A two day walk-through

Great photos and observations. I love SFO. It has so much character and with houses next to streets everywhere, it feels great to walk around. You should just be ok to walk up and down. Great variety of restaurants too.

I usually spend one weekend there when I am in San Jose most of the time. Helps that one of my colleague lives there and drives down to San Jose every day !

Instead of walking up incline continuously, we walked a block sideways to get a breather besides getting closer to our destination e.g. Rail Car Museum to Lombard Street / Crooked street.

Thanks for your appreciation, though a critic comment may have helped in me improving next TL.
Regards.
