It is Lock down here in India. Lock down when no movement is allowed outside, but there is no restrictions on your mind drifting away - beyond borders and cherish the memory.

Let me share my trip to USA in 2019 with you in the following posts.

My this year's USA visit was to attend the Graduation Day Ceremony of my younger daughter achieving her Doctorate.
A long flight to Seattle awaited me at New Delhi which was further made longer (Courtesy my neighbour country sealing its airspace). The incoming flight from Frankfurt was delayed and so was return flight to Frankfurt which simply made me miss my connecting flight to Seattle, Washington, USA. I was rescheduled on to flight to Seattle requiring a flight change at Chicago. As fate would desire, this flight was in air too before we reached. Rescheduled again, we reached Seattle somehow.
Though we had reached Seattle, my fingers found the Camera first, when we went touring San Francisco.

Remember this statue ??? Definitely, most of you travelling abroad must have seen this at departure lounge of Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi.

What is so unusual about it ? I don't know about others, but it always sings a song to me.

Surprised !!! I have heard it repeating this old tune to me every time I pass by it.

लौट के आना, है यहीं तुमको,
जा रहे हो तुम ... जाओ मेरी जान ...

A view from outside Mariott situated near San Francisco Airport although a bit away from the city. Plenty of Electrical wires around. Unlike India, I was told that they actually carry Electricity and i believed them.

First visit to the city to visit, had to be the one and only one - Golden Gate Bridge.
So many views of Golden Gate Bridge. The name is synonymous with San Francisco. I am sure it would be hard viewing the Pics again and again.

Besides the Golden Gate Bridge, there is plenty of landscape to view and admire. It can probably be shared by Panorama. Most of theses pictures are multiple pictures stitched together for Panorama effect.
I may have lost quality in some of these. Spologize for the same

One thing in USA is to honour its meritorious personalities. (Though not to the scale they do in India - for politicians only)

I shall always be wondering what they are trying to show ? Whether the Bridge was completed within the year of 1935 itself ???

Kaalaa Paani of USA. Palace for the Convicts, living in island well guarded. This is historical prison "Alcatraz". Built to thwart any attempt to escape, there have been successful escapes. After all, the Convicts are genius in their art.

Walking along the pedestrian track on the edge of the Golden Gate Bridge. As there is two way traffic, rather Heavy traffic, the view from the middle of the Bridge could not be taken. Maybe a Drone Camera may have worked, but whether it is permitted at this place or not is not known. Pedestrians and Cyclists share this track and a walk is quite enjoying.

Plenty of Commemorative Plaques are put up in honour of various distinguished and deserving personalities.

When there is a Bridge, there has to be a River underneath.

When there is River there must be Water.

And when there is Water

Boats would be floating by. Tugboat,Tourist Cruise ships, Sail boats and other types

San Francisco is not about GG Bridge only. It has many other places of interest. Another landmark is the Union Square. Set in the middle of the downtown, a lively place where one can sit for hours and watch various activities going on. What cannot be pictured and shared is the charming music by street players.
