Yes, Amartya Sen has a house in Shantiniketan and he actually stays there during the winters I have been told. In fact I have seen him taking his morning stroll with his walking stick nonchalantly amidst the roads of Viswabharati.

Shantiniketan is wonderful during the rains. No matter how many times I visit the place, it always give me something new to chew on. You must visit again to feel the charm of the monsoons or the winters.
