We did a BLR-DEL trip in mid Aug. It was all about point A to B, driving with a kid on board. You guys did it in style. Classy! And fantastic pictures.

Re: Diwali drive in a Toyota Fortuner - Bangalore to Delhi!

Superb, thanks for the great photos!

I need to be in Bengaluru for a few months so was going to do a Delhi -> Bengaluru drive later this week. Made some preps too but ended up booking a flight instead and will be sending my GV on a trailer. Will definitely be driving Bengaluru -> Delhi on the way back though when the pandemic is better.

Curious. When I was researching routes I figured Delhi -> Rajasthan -> Dhar (MP) -> Pune -> Satara (MH) -> Bengaluru would be the easiest to drive for a solo driver (not much to see on this route though I'm guessing). Any thoughts? (though this (The Nightmare called Pune - Satara - Karad - Kolhapur Highway) thread says otherwise)

Your thread is inspiring me to take the Orchha route on the way back.

Absolutely amazing pics. I was really engulfed in the write-up and this route is definitely going to my bucket list. We indeed have an amazing and beautiful country with a lot to explore. Incredible India.

Mailed the thread to me to not miss out and bookmarked it as well

While most people from Delhi try to get away during this time, you did the opposite thing.

Superb pictures and narration! That Taj pic is a masterpiece.

Day 4) Orchha
Day 5) Orchha -> Delhi (covering Chambal, Mitawali and Bateshwar)

Day 16) Pachmarhi -> Nagpur

The forest sections apart, its easily doable in a low slung sedan. Roads for the most part are quite good.

I am still unable to mentally agree to sleep on a hotel bed in this Covid situation, for example- even though the hotel would have likely laundered the bedsheets etc.
Apart from gloves and masks and sanitizing ourselves periodically, we had our own bed and linen for certain places. Most of the hotels are quite careful in keeping the rooms hygienic and beyond a point, we did not really bother. I could think of a thousand ways in which a teeny weeny virus could make itself appear despite all the precautions. So left the thinking to the almighty and moved on.

We specifically wanted to trace the central India route. So the other options weren't considered. The Pune-Rajasthan route is also a very breezy drive and has other attractions along the way. Choose your poison :-)

Great pictures and narration. Many theories of Chousat yogini temple at Mitawali and its similarity with Indian parliament building is doing rounds in social media.Aerial shots of this temple are really amazing.Photos from google search attached :

Your pictures are next level and throughly enjoyed the Travelogue.
Even the places that you stayed looked amazing, worth saving this post for someday to plan out a trip on similar routes.

Another point, always had this desire for the Fortuner (Older Gen like yours) and not the new one. Looked really really cool and Macho. How’s it holding up after 1 Lakh kms ? Service costs or regular troubles etc ? Additionally any comments on the ride quality etc. ? I see specially you had covered not so good tarmac in your journey as well.

W0w! Lovely travelogue. Making one watch the entire 22+ mins of video without FF shows its beauty and engagement.

Re: Diwali drive in a Toyota Fortuner - Bangalore to Delhi!

What a great travelogue, and after a long time we had someone who covered MP and its beauty!
And a very nice idea of having breakfast / lunch in the open with a foldable chair and table setting! Noted as an idea for self!

A question to you, can we cover Nagpur to Delhi in one day, as you did Bangalore to Nagpur? It's almost the same distance.

Cheers!
