Participated in a fabulous event called the Nasir Hussein Memorial Drive, which took place from the 7th to 13th of November. The route followed was basically a recreation of the famous Himalyan Rally of 1981.

Program for the Nazir Hoosein Memorial Drive - Himalayan Rally 1981 route

Day 0 - Registration & Inaugural Dinner @ Crowne Plaza in Greater Noida
Day 1 - Monday 8th Nov.
Delhi - Hapur - Garg Mukteswar - Gajraula - Dhampur - Kalagarh dam - Pakhro Gate - Kothdwar - Lansdowne.
Day 2- Tuesday 9th Nov.
Lansdowne- Satpuli - Devprayag- New Tehri Town - Chamba - Kanatal - Dhanaulti - Mussoorrie .
Day 3 - Wednesday 10th Nov .
Mussoorrie - Kempty Falls - Herbertpur - Paonta Saheb - Nahan - Sarahan - Kumarhatti - Solan - Khandaghat - Chail - Kufri .
Day 4 - Thursday 11th Nov
Kufri - Theog - Narkhanda - Kingel - Luri - Ani - Khanag - Jalori Pass - Banjar - Aut - Kullu - Manali
Day 5 - Friday 12th Nov.
Manali - Rohtang - Manali .
Day 6 - Sat 13th Nov
Free run return to Delhi via Kullu - Mandi - Chandigarh - Ambala - Delhi .

Since it was a non competitive event, it received a huge response and there were around 90 cars participating. There was a huge contingent from Mahindra too, who were co-sponsors to the event. Many Team Bhp members were also a part of the event, hence I am creating this thread for everyone to post their experiences and pics. Some brave souls from CDG Mumbai even dared to take their classics (3 Beetles, 1 Westfalia bus, 2 Fiats) on this treacherous route and managed to finish in flying colours.

Must add a note that event was really well organised with the cars divided into 4 groups, with each group having a experienced Rally driver leading them, and a sweeper car following for back up.

That's Devprayag in Uttrakhand. The place you see in photo is aerial view of confluence where river Bhagirathi and river Alakhnanda merges.

It's a beautiful place. Reminds me on my Mahakumbh drive in 2021.
