Re: 10,237 km: Bangalore to Arunachal in a Thar

I read through the whole travelogue in one sitting. What a journey. The writing just bought everything to life. It almost felt like I was reading the chapters of a book and I wanted this story to go on and on.

Thank you for sharing this.

Re: 10,237 km: Bangalore to Arunachal in a Thar

Beautifully written travelogue, your style of writing replete with humour and your take on things keeps the reader glued. The pictures were great, though a little annotation with them would've helped satisfy the curiosity of inveterate armchair travellers amongst us!

Arunachal, beautiful as it happens to be, is a gem that is utterly underrated and unexplored. With improvement in infrastructure hopefully connectivity options will proliferate and allow more travellers from the rest of the country to reach and appreciate its beauty.

Cheers !

Re: 10,237 km: Bangalore to Arunachal in a Thar

There are trips, there are experiences, there are travelogues, and then there are journeys like this. Mesmerizing, captivating and motivational. What a writeup. Is there something more than 5 stars. I must sincerely commend you on your writing prowess and ability to paint the situation with words.

Not many of us are able to undertake such trips, leave alone write about it. Thanks for sharing. This has been bookmarked for any NE trip I ever undertake. Those rustic experiences in villages, guest houses and homestays are a charm of this trip.

North east, you stay a goal to achieve and a destination to live, ride, drive and enjoy.

Kudos to your spirits.

While it takes lot of josh and courage to take such long drives, it is equally hard to write with such patience. Nice of you to attach the details for others to refer. The reading is long and gives the impression that lot of mind and heart has gone onto this. Thanks and wish you many more such drive/trips. You have really set the bar high. One point I have is that last day drive of 16 hrs could have been avoided as eagerness to get back home can cause unpleasant incidents.(lesson learnt by me)

Re: 10,237 km: Bangalore to Arunachal in a Thar

Thanks for sharing such a detailed travelogue. More than travelgue, this felt like your musings during this entire trip. Kudos for capturing all of that in such an amzing writing style and presenting on platter to the team bhp readers. 5 stars from me.

Looking at your writing skills, I guessed you might be a blogger or journalist and checked your occupation in your profile. But with not much luck . You have a penchant for writing good lines and I truely appreciate it. Keep it up and keep them coming (read travelogues).

I guess, this is the 2nd detailed NE travelogue in recent times. Other one is from Red Liner's two wheeler adventure.

Cheers,

Re: Arunachal: A Siren Call into the Unknown

Thanks Sonali for the beautiful travelogue and pictures from Aalo. It is where I spent my entire childhood and school days. Reading this, made me to plan for a visit to the place where I spent more than 1/3rd of my life.
