As a tourist you only need an Indian driving license which should be in English. This is true for Europe(atleast Schengen countries) along with Asia. However, if you are an expat(working executive), things changes.

Some countries allow Indian license along with International Driving Permit while others simply ask you to get a local driving license after clearing all exams.

I read about this in a ‘Welcome’ document during my stay in Norway.

Excellent TL with some smashing pics which truly depict the natural splendour of the country. For a BHPian, I can imagine that a driving trip in such picturesque locales would be like the cherry on the cake. It must have been quite an experience for you and your family. That is one excellent account of a beautiful journey of iceland. What more, you got to drive by yourself that too in a LHD car along the opposite lane as compared to here.

The waterfalls and glacier views are beautiful and more importantly the places are not overcrowded with people which takes away half of the fun otherwise.

Looking forward to get some more from your EU trip in future.
