Hello Team

My First travelougue

Since the monsoon has hit Hyderabad ,we guys were planning to go to any dam where the gates would have been opened so Srisailam was the first one to open the gates so we colleagues decided lets hit it,the problem was who's gonna drive it, I ain't have the driving experience of ghat roads,my friend who has been to srisailam described in a such a way that it was impossible for me to take my car and drive down,my other colleague said we can hit it..so we were waiting for the BIG day Sat july 14 and on 13th July both of my colleagues said they wouldn't make it , i was like *** I didn't wanted to cancel this plan and I was never been to Srisailam ,there is always have to be a PLAN B ,I called up my BCA friends whom I spoke to him after 2 yrs and asked him is he game for it ,he said yes then I told him about the drive and voila our problem got resolved my friend said he can get an Innova and a driver all we gotta do was pay for the fuel and some tip to driver.

so far me and my friend,and he said he will get his another friend then I called my another 2 BCA friends they both were ready.finally we were 5 people and Innova with a driver,what a luxury,we guys decided we're gonna hit the road by 5AM.

As usual Hyd Nawab style,and late lateefs i came from my shift at 3am woke my friends by 3:30 ,after picking 2 of my friends in my car we we're waitin for the Innova and two other friends they came around 5:30 , had tea at LB Nagar then slowly hit the road and innova was going smoothly at 130 odd .

The road was not great a single lane with lots of patches but a very good scenic view since it was early morning wasnt much crowded and the weather was awesome very cloudy,stopped at Dindi for breakfast ,

its an ok kind of hotel spent an hour at the hotel ordering for the breakfast ,gossipping ,we reached the ghat section by 11:30 AM.

The Ghat section was mindblowing , the pictures would do the justice.

lovely sight of the dam in the middle of the forest, we stopped at the first point and started taking the photos from the handycam,started trekking for a while then moved to the nearest point where we can feel the water and its as if its drizzling, completely wet road because the water pressure from the dam,it was amazing once you go there you cannot see what is infront its like completely covered with fog amazing scene,priceless.

after the dam went directly to Temple and a word of caution Liquor is not allowed and also the cigarattes bloody the cops have taken the complete pack of cigarretes,so hide your cigarrets in your pockets because they check the vehicles as well.

we headed directly to pathalaganga..for bath,go down 250 steps and climb back 250 steps that was very tiring ,then went to the temple it was not crowded at all, we were expecting a huge crowd it being saturday and the gates were opened but it wasn't the case we were done with the pooja within an hour,went to a near by hotel called Ganga restaurant you would get Meals which was ok .the time was 3PM we were like wow,half of the must see places are covered then we went for the Ishtakameshwari temple 30km inside the forest as suggested by hyderabadi it was great.

only commander jeeps can go,and the guy asked for 140/- per head we bargained for 120/-and promised us that after the trip you would give us extra bucks,we were having second thoughts that is it worth paying 120/- we went for it ,first 10km was a smooth ride once you enter the forest the driver have to pay 100/- the forest officials and then for another 5 km muddy roads after that starts the real fun,no road at all big stones and we have to ascend and descend for literally 1 hour we wouldnt be able to sit still we reached the temple by 5:30 had darshan roamed around the started way back to srisailam and reached by 8pm we all were happy becuz we planned for an overnight stay but finished all the places and started way back to Hyd exactly 8:50 reached the checkpost we were allowed and after that it was closed. stopped at a bar taken the booze stopped at the same place where we had breakfast and we had dinner reached hyd by 1:oo AM.

no,initially we thought of going in innova ,later we decided to hire a commander , I feel not even a safari can go but HUMMER can
