Not too bad, but you wont be able to maintain highway speeds. Scenery is good though!

Thanks for the info. As long as it is motorable around 40-60kmph speed, that is ok.
How long is the bad stretch? 20kms?

Not exactly sure. I slept off in between and all. Did most of the driving previous night from cochin to coimbatore.
