abhi it wasnt my honeymoon man.

I have no clue what variant of Skoda it was, it had a nice body kit and was red in color.

edit : Biju I stopped at Tranquebar and asked the cop at the check post about the Dutch fort and he had no clue about the place.

Excellent travelogue and pics!

Glad to see you back in action. Need help. Any idea how much would the EOS 350D cost there?

Canon has reduced the price of EOS 350D drastically and was around 30k with the 18~55 kit lens

There are regular ads in "The Hindu" chennai edition.

Nice travelogue Riju, and loved few of the photos, specially the low light ones.
BTW, one thing, I remember you telling me that the low profile tires(205/55/15) won't have bad effects on the wheels(say cracking n all). So how come the change of mind for a different set of tires?

Not in Bangalore at least unless you take a real bad hit. You probably would realize the magnitude of the condition of the roads only if you drove along them.

I will be switching back to the Lenso's for daily driving and my occasional Mysore drives. The Acelere's will be used only for my next drive to Kerala.

Fantastic travelogue & pictures Riju! Looks like you & Mrs. Riju had a lot of fun on the trip!!

P.S. Turns out my advice about the tyres was not too bad after all!

Great photos and report as usual Riju. Looks like your wife also has the same travel bug. Pathi, Pathni aur Baleno (woh) make good company I see.

The Sirgazhi to Karaikkal road looks fine from Coastal Karnataka standards. I too would have kept my Baleno but for the roads, after driving 5K in 16 months, I knew it was time to let go.

Great Photos, Great Travalogue

Hai,

That was a great travelogue and amazing live photos. Some of them have captured the pulsing life of the moment......... enjoyed them.

The EC Road till completed can be a jaw-breaker. Reminded me of my trip thro Karaikal, Velankanni till Terichendur, had to de-tour long out of the EC as they were undrivable / non-existant in some places.

Would be nice to see the phtos of the new tyres.

Happy Driving,

==Ramky

Cute photos... Speed @ 170!!! Great driver.... btw, is that a safe speed for our toll roads where we dont know when & from where some 'intelligent' guys can come on your way?

hey Riju, accepted that it was a getaway, and the travelogue says it all. But going by the thread title, thought there'd be atleast one snap of the newly-weds too !
