Cough...my first post here on this great forum.

I followed Happy Wheels route recommendation and had a great trip. We set out in my friend's Opel Astra and saved about 30 minutes by reaching Hosur via Sarjapur.

Stopped for a great lunch at ARS Vasavi restaurant - Krishnagiri.

My friends in Auroville recommended a lovely place to stay, it's called Gaia's Garden Guest house . Reasonably priced I thought it was a great find.

The meal looks tempting! Best part is that the leaf is also perfect! :-)

Xyka, what are the places that you had been to? Please share your experience.

Where is this restaurant, directions pls.

Thanks Happy Wheels, I'll post my other road experiences soon. At the moment I'm reading up on Oxygen sensors on this forum as ECM light comes on sometimes.

Dadu,
Forgive me but I cant give you exact directions. I do remember it was located at a major cross road junction in town. Shouldnt be difficult to find in Krishnagiri. They also had an AC section.

ARS Vasavi Vegetarian Hotel
Great food. clap:
Bad Toilet.

Visited Pondy over the long weekend. Thanks to every one who has contributed on this thread, the journey was fast and event less. Left Bangalore at 1030AM (had to vote). Bad traffic till past Hosur. Afte Hosur things were better. Reached Pondy at about 4. Election checking meant I spent about 20 mins getting my car checked just after JIPMER.
I followed the BLR - HOSUR - KGIRI - ARCOT - cross bridge/turn back - SH5 (with all bypass) - Thindivanam - Pondy.
On the return journey we started at 1030. Again spent 15 mins for car checks. We missed the Cheyyar bypass whule returning. I took the left before the bridge and not after. Went about 5 kms towards Arni. Realised my mistake and came back to the planned route (Arni road seemed narrow and had few potholes). I was back in HSR by about 330.
For people living in HSR it makes sense to go via Sarjapur/Bagalur. Way too much time is spent at the Attibele toll and driving through Hosur.
