Its currently raining very heavily in himachal, so if conditions dry out some, you can definitely attempt it, but remember, when its raining the area is landslide prone, and very dangerous, esp near Khanag etc.,
thanks, I will try to do it in mid sept, hope situation will be dry up by then. will keep a close look into the weather. I read your adventure with indica and the driving on reverse gear for 5kms.. salute you! I won't dare to do that.

I did not reverse for 5kms, only a hundred meters or so I think, before I found the turnout point.
