Gogi Sir very nice pictures. Seems you are having a blast except for that AC issue at night. The property looks amazing, very well kept.

Did you take any swimming lessons or learn any tricks from your swiming instructor?

?
Must say hes a good instructor and taught me many tricks. Two I couldnt learn;

1) breathing under water
2) turning into a handsome prince at the sight of a pretty woman.
(But why would I need that. One cant better perfection can one? )

Also found he loves Rabbits..no wonder he keeps on saying "Rabbit....Rabbit.." all the time

Day three….

The hotel has not stopped fascinating me.

We hire three Honda Dios. It’s the first time ive ridden these things. I like !!
So the women wanted to shop…..gosh don’t we hear that word and cringe? “What the heck!!” I think to myself and go along with the tide. We decide to go again to Palolem where else? I hear the words Fisherman’s Pants and Open Pants for the first time. Only when I see them I realize that I own a pair of Fisherman’s Pants, only I was not aware that they were called as such. I will look at these pants with newfound respect now.

We arrive at Palolem

The evening was spent again at another end of the vast hotel beach.
The water was a little rough today.
Dinner was at the hotel restaurant...nothing to rave about but passable fare.

So finally i could sort out the issues I had with my digicam memory card. Sorry could not post earlier as the memory card was showing a blank. Only when a techie from Sony handled it he could retrieve all the pics, thank god.

Continuing the travelogue, we went to Baga the next day. Whatever you say, Baga has a charm of its own unparalleled to the rest of Goa. Some say that it is too crowded and commercialised but so is every other part of the world.
The drive was a loooong 1.45 hrs from the Intercontinental. Thats long but we had to visit this part. I mean who comes to Goa and doesn't visit Baga??

Driving out of the hotels plush and beautifully landscaped lawns

The drive takes us through greenery which is so rare in our Metros. I am a big buff for period architecture so I take a few snaps of old houses with the typical Goan influence. Some of them are not in great shape but would be fantastic if restored properly.

My niece who thinks shes Modesty Blaize. Note the guy in the fore ground. Hes on a plank which he uses as a surf board. Ingenious.

Conclusion!!

Continuing from my last post...

Brittos, thats where one eats when in Baga. Its about the best place to eat on the beach. Its a restaurant, a shack all rolled into one.

The order (sorry vegetarians but no veg food was ordered) Baked crabs (cant leave Goa without them), Sausage Chilli Fry with Pao, Goan Fish Curry and Rce, Pomfret Rechado, Clams Dry Masala, King Fish Fry, etc etc washed down by Diet coke, Sprite and occasional pitchers of Draught beer. If in Goa you must visit Brittos on Baga and Martins which is in South Goa. The food at Martins is better.

At around seven we all plonked in the car for the drive back to the hotel.
We took another 1.45 hrs to get back. As the day was hectic, mostly from traveling and the water sports, we all decided against going out anywhere for the night.
It was our last day in Goa. We would be leaving fro Bombay the next day.
The late evening and night was spent with the family all chatting & chilling out. Carrying along some board games was a good idea.
In short a lovely holiday and a time to bond with your family. The place doesn't matter if al of you are together.
Im already waiting for my next family holiday, needless to say, which will catalogue in the Travelogues too.
Hope you had as much fun as I had composing this thread!!
