Best road to take as of now is
BLR-TUMKUR-SHIMOGA-AYANUR-RIPPONPETE-HOSNAGARA-KOLLUR
This road is in decent condition as of now(last week I had travelled till Hosnagara)

Dear BHpians,
I plan to drive to Kollur from Bangalore over the weekend, would anyone of you out there know of the road condition if I were ti take the Shimoga route ? Heard the route via Mangalore has bad roads over a 40 km stretch and hance want to avoid it. Any suggestions and update on the road conditions would help a great deal
