Excellent description by the means of pictures. The roads you have shown are real bad. I wonder what happens in rains.

The fog terror was OK, but that Baba terror must have been real terrifying.
Good that it didnt hit the car. Looks like your car has got great headlamps.

Fog Terror and Baba Terrors were really bad. I still feel night driving is the best. The Babas and stuff cant aim in pitch dark.

In the rains, God save you! Man, you would be unknowingly hitting the car belly due to the invisible potholes. I would have canceled the journey then.

A happy journey after all.
But don't you swim in that bloody sea at Goa. Many places in that beach are not at all safe for swimming. Only God knows which are safe areas.
Every year more than 120 persons are dying (submerged) in the sea inspite of govt.sponsored life guards watching the beach front and we shall note that some of them at least(victims) are great swimmers.

The waves took away my friend's son recently while he was enjoying swimming in the sea.

I think one can avoid going a little deeper and avoid danger.

Goa has another side to it, sprituality, lot of temples in Goan style and lot of Churches.

Thanks for your good photographs (what digital camera you are using?), It would be more fun and pleasure when travlled with wife alone rather than wife's friend in tow.

Hey TB, This thread reminded me of my journey on the NH7-NH63 to reach Hampi via Bellary. I'm sure NH63 can earn teh sobriquet of being the worst Highway in the country, no doubts. Anyways amazing thread.

Hi Basu,
Had been through this thread earlier, and with some new pictures am going to re- read the whole thing again. Your DRIVOBLOG is too involving. Great write up. You talked about a Kolkata-Goa trip in Q4 2009, did you take that trip up?
Share more photos if you have . Cheerss!! and a very happy new year. Have fun.
