I so wish we all could be like the peeple there- being responsible for our actions, being fair/honest and not even thinking of (forget trying) to cheat anyone.

I love that word for petrol since i read it here.
Stoff= stuff
Kraft= made/crafted/invented/procedure/technique/skilled practice
OTTO= creator

OTTOkraftstoff = stuff used for what was created by OTTO.

Also,
Kraft= can be thought of as craft= vehicle.
So OTTOkraftstoff= stuff for OTTO's craft/vehicle

Also, lamely put, OTTO (phonetically) = auto= automobile.
So stuff for (that drives/powers) automobile = petrol.
"Stoff" isn't actually stuff, it really is a word for fabric or material or a slang word for drugs and "Kraft" would more likely be strength or power. So translating it: Ottopowermaterial.

TheBrother®
Thank you for the correction and more info.

But silly me was using the word 'stuff' implying 'material'.
And i was only stating my own silly interpretation- not the actual one.

I did something similar this Sunday, the only difference was - I did it in India while Sam went international.

It was her birthday on Sunday and I decided to drop in un-announced ! Flew late night on Saturday and had Farhan pick me up from the airport at 11 pm. We had time to kill so I got a tour of Chennai in Farhan's INSANE machine .

The fun started around mid-night. We found out where she was dining with her friends and reached the place at 0005 - it had shut down. So I had to call her again and confirm where she was - heading home was the answer.

So Farhan and me raced to her place, waited 10 minutes. We walk up to the flat and ring the bell - no answer. Ring again - no answer. Ring once again - still no answer. Put my ears to the door and try to listen if there are noises inside, sadly there were none.

We come down to the car and I call her again - we are heading to the Park Sheraton, she says. Farhan and me rush there. There is a huge crowd but Farhan gets his special parking space on the porch. We walk into the hotel, I am carrying the bouquet. We search the coffee shop - no luck, go towards Dublin and find that it's locked !! Damn - this is not going as per plan. The time is already 0040.

I call her again - I am the The Park, she says. Damn in my excitement I had heard The Park Sheraton.

We again rush back to the car and drive to the The Park. It is full of people at 0045 - the drive-way is blocked with cars and people are moving around as if it's a fair going on. We manage to get a valet and walk in. The lobby is stuffed with people. We walk into the coffee shop and then I see her.

With the bouquet in hand, I walk to her table and give her the flowers. Happy Birthday sweety, I say.

She goes -
----------------------------------------------

Mission sucessful. A big shout to Farhan for picking me up and being there with me till almost 2 am. Thanks Farhan.

I fly back to Mumbai on sunday evening.
