Sorry for revving an old thread. I have two specific queries:

1.) What is the distance between Udaipur and Ranakpur and what can be a reasonable travel time in a family laden car?
2.) What is the current road conditions between these two.

Any inputs would be most welcomed.

I came back last week from my Rajasthan trip, and from memory, the distance isn't beyond 100 KM's and should take you a little less than 2 hours. Roads are differing between good to great - lots of work near the Udaipur side of the highways, but otherwise, pretty good ones to drive.
