Great travelogue for a first timer. Good pics too - some of them have a pro touch - especially the black and white and the pics amidst the rain clouds!

Nice write-up and some very beautiful pictures. The close-up of the fence wires with the out of focus building behind is a nice composition. The pic of the Wagon-R with the whizzing vehicles behind is neat. BTW, your car is cool with the alloys and the lamps.

Thanks GT.

As an amatuer, I tried my best with my modest camera.

Fantastic travelogue. Does justice to the beauty of Himachal. Really envy the people from Delhi, they have at their disposal some of the most scenic places in India.

Wagon R never looked this good.

Shakensoul:
Nice pictures. The fire extinguisher @ the A pillar. Is it a right place? Is it hindering your vision? Space below the passenger/driver seat will be the ideal place right?

Thanks for the compliment. Definitely there are a lot of good places within reach from Delhi, you only need time and passion to be able to travel.

Don't know if its the right place for the fire extinguiser, but doesn't hinder my vision as its in the extreme left corner when I'm driving. Put in there for practical purpose, incase there's a fire, you can reach for it in a split second, but if you put in below the seat, you never know where it actually might be, maybe not even in the car.

The weather of Chail is pleasant now. During the day, I was in a t-shirt and in the night you need a blanket. Temps I think are around 20-25 during the day and 10-15 at night, if it rains the temps will come down slightly.

What was the name of the hotel in which you stayed at Chail, and what were the tarrifs? How far can we brand this as a family place?

We stayed at Hotel Lions.

India Travel Packages,India Holiday Travel Packages,Indian Travel Package

The tariff depends on the season I guess, for us it was kind of free as we got a holiday voucher from countrywide

Its a decent place, will be good for family and the food was pretty decent. We stayed at a Deluxe room which is comfortable for a couple, will be ok for a couple and two small kids. The super deluxe room is of the same size but mountain facing.

Very nice travelogue and pics. The Black Beauty steals the show. I am very happy to see a lovely Wagon-R. The alloys simply look superb. What tyres are you using??

Thanks Ravi. I am using Plati alloys with Bridgestone Potenza G3 160/65 R13. Even though steering has become a little hard and the car feels heavy, ride comfort and grip has increased, you feel the bumps less.
