Crest gates opened at Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar

This would be a good time to visit both Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar as the water is to the brim and the government has decided to open the crest gates on Sunday. For details, refer to DC article: City News tale: Vizag’s Tuna in foreign net

Manavdotcom ! my family is from Nagarjuna Sagar, very near to Hyderabad 130 km, My brother has done Crest gates repair contract work for Sagar Dam till last May
@ topic as for as I know date con’t be fixed for opening or closing dates , it depends on in flow to Dam where ever gates are open at above dams like Srisilam,Jurala ,Alametti.
First day the opened 4 gate , today it seems they opened all 24 gate.
If your visiting Sagar Dam , don’t for get visit “Attipotla water falls” , comes on the way to Macherla from Sagar.

Just now I saw the visuals of water flowing out of Srisailam Dam on TV. Looks awesome.

Why dont you make Nagarjunasagar as the destination for September Drive - Meet?

Does any one have details till how many days, the crest gates are expected to be open.

I'll be doing Srisailam/Nagarjuna Sagar Dam probably 1st wek october from Chennai. How should I plan it ? Stay at Srisailam or Nagarjuna Sagar Dam ? Which route from Nagarjuna Sagr to Hyd ?
