As a Calcuttan I feel nostalgic, particularly looking at the dash, speedo etc. Although you get to see a lot of Amby's in this part of the world, none of them would have those in their vehicles any more. Very well kept car, I must say. CK Birla should see this.

This thread has filled me with nostalgia. Remembering all my excursions in my Amby at the moment. The car is one character - overheating at times, useless left wiper, guages which need a tap with the finger before they indicate anything.
Is your speedo working?

Nope, cant find the speedo cable. Ditto for the early clip type wiper blades. Got any leads?

Hello Kiran and Karl - wonderful trip I must say. Yes, I remember our trip to Wai last year with Karl in the blue Premier President. I do umpteen number of such trips in my "other vehicles" (you can guess what they are - I just did Nasik Matheran Nasik at blistering pace with rally drive all the way up the deadly hairpin bends to the Dasturi Naka, with an equally fast descent) and do not even bother photographing the scenery but this makes me want to do such trips in my Fiats. I am used to seeing MRW3228 standing stoically at Canopus Apartments all the time. It's nice to see it in Mahabaleshwar and especially at Parsi Point in Panchgani. Let's see.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

All in due time. She has to wait her turn, vitamin M pending. Mechanically by and large she is fit, with full new brakes. Pending gear linkages and clutch, both generic Amby issues.
