We reached Agonda Beach by 17:30 hours


Palolem is behind those mountains


The beach was peaceful with very less crowd


Wifey decided to sit back and relax while we had fun in the water


The place was relatively empty considering the time of the year. I loved it that way.


I gave the camera to my wifey and plunged into the water with PPGs

By 19:00 hours we decided to go for dinner on one of the peaceful shacks around.

Day 3
1st January 2013

We sat down at Agonda Sunset Shack


Veg Sizzler


Steak with chips and Salad


Fruits


It was yet another candle light dinner. We had a lot of Russian guests for company all around, in fact we were the only desi's there


By 20:30 we finished dinner and started back to our resort.

Agonda has huts like these for a back packing tour. One day I must do this.


By 22:00 hours we reached our resort and I straight away crashed to the bed.

It has been relaxing two days with nothing to do other than eat, sleep, swim, shower and sing.......

By 11:00AM we are done with the packing and check out.

By 12:00 we reached Margoa. I wanted to take the Ponda route towards Mollem to visit Bhagwan Mahaveer National park.

Just as we took the route to Ponda from Margoa, we found a Dominos.

Just as we were about to leave this Marshal caught our attention


Doggies were happy under the Marshal, away from the harsh sun

It was time for us to leave Goa for this time

By 14:00 hours we reached Bhagwan Mahavir National Park

I enquired about the scheme of events there. The concept is that of an open sanctuary. You can drive your vehicle around the marked trails and have sightings of wild life. High Ground Clearance vehicles are better in those kacha roads. I took directions of Tamdi Surla Temple and drove towards the temple.

WOW Goa again . Just saw the posts. Verca lucky you got the booking plus just a casual ride and you guys are in Goa . We need atleast 10 days to plan a road trip like this from Delhi. I was in Mumbai on 5th was tempted for another Goa trip, kids schedule didnt allow !

Was in Wayanad to meet HVK, and the drive to Goa was a non stop from there

Varca has lost its charm. The guys there were overworked thanks to the demanding guests, that they were like zombies...I decided to just chill and relax and have fun at Agonda this time.. CM was just for the bed

Yes, they have one more. The New year party was at Varca, which included the guests from the other place too.

By 14:30 hours we reached the temple. It was a protected monument

After filling up petrol from Mollem started our drive to Bangalore. I took the route towards Dharward. The roads were getting laid and most of it was fun to drive. But there are very treacherous sections quit often. May be it needs another 6 months to be fully done.

By 18:00 we reached NH4 at Dharwad. By 21:30 we stopped for dinner at Kamats and restarted the drive by 22:30 hours.

Reached home in Bangalore by 00:00 hours. Well that makes it 7 hours of drive from Mollem to Bangalore. Not bad at all given the umpteeen deviation on NH4 these days.

It was a cool 20 degrees at Bangalore


Total of 2922KMs for the drive. Civvy has done 88K by now


Bangalore Goa and back is around 1300Kms, but then where did I go for the other 1600Kms?? Well one day I will tell that story too...

But for now it's good night time.

First weekend of January 2013, I was invited by Lukeskywalker to an event where I met with many of my TBHP friends. While having coffee with StarVegabond and mjothi, a plan was made to be back to Goa for the long weekend that passed by (12,13 and 14th of Jan 2013).

Unfortunately I could not join them due to various constraints. But they did have a blast. Now am eagerly waiting for their Storming report on Goa

I spent a day at Palolem in Jan 2010, but missed out on the boat ride to the Butterfly beach in the nearby isle. Your pics and video of the ride made up for that, Lalu. Thanks for introducing Agonda Beach, whcih looks a real nice getaway for people like me who prefer some peaceful sun bathing. Hope it is hidden from the crowds for a long time.
