Le Eglise De Sacre Coeur De Jesus( exact translation - the church of sacred heart of jesus) is 100 years old now. that church road is my regular way to beach.

Benny looks like the church has been repainted since my last visited.

Let me narrate an experience during my visit in 2003 to Pondy. A few friends drove down from bangy for a party which was happening in ECR. We had nothing to do and decided to drive down to Pondy for the evening since the party was scheduled to start at 10pm.

Hired a cab since all were drunk and reached Pondy by about 5pm. What next head straight to the beach to watch the sunset. The rest if history and we still laugh over this even today .

Yes Anup! Certainly well-maintained as well.
However, looks like it was painted recently,as per Riju's post above.

More pics of the church, you mean? Have a couple more, but certainly not as good as the ones i posted. Others have me and wifey in the usual tourist poses before the church.

Diet was definitely enjoyable through the trip. We didnt resort to much experimentation, however.

great!! Though Pondi is visited by us often, since my sis in law stays there, your narration makes me go soon now.

Have you visited the Chunnambar beach?

Nice work benbsb29 ji.

Even if its just 160kms from Chennai, I never thought I'd want to go to Pondy.
After reading this travel log and the beautiful pics.

I'm thinking not a bad place after all eh...
Day by day, pic after pic details really enjoyed reading it.

Way to go buddy, keep em coming.

Also the 2 wheelers in Pondy are in a different league itself. Dont forget the tuk tuk types auto's(?) which are all over the place and the menacing private buses.

OT :Yeda pishika post pics in 800x600 size.

Nice pictures, Ben! Especially the shots of the church interiors. Eagerly waiting for Day 3 log & pics.

Another name added to the long list of exceptional photographers on Team-BHP. Good work Benny. Loved the pics, but a little less post production would go a long way too.
cheers

Thanks Riju II (Riju - the second, to avoid confusion with rjstyles69).
Check out the place and share your experiences with us. I however feel you may not feel to attracted, as there already is Marina beach in Chennai for you guys to visit.

Point noted regarding the post-processing, John. However, there wasnt much i did as such, except for the frame. As for the first comment, i think i have a REALLY LONG way to go to get anywhere there. Notice how inconspicous i am on the photography thread.
