Hello Ravi,

It's an impressive travelogue. You had your hotels booking done before you started off from Bangalore?

When you plan for your next ride, start new thread for the discussions.

Thank you Team, Weather was bit misty/fog in 3rd week of October but not bad because we witnessed good sunlight as well which play important role in seeing valley and view point in hill station. Photos have come out quiet ok to be very frank

Royal Orchid tarrif ranges between 5000-7000 per day for one couple and 2 kids as per my knowledge. They have KING, Queen Size etc.. rooms. Tarrif changes from place to place. website: Royal Orchid Hotels

Sagar resort I feel its around 2000-3000 per day Sagar Holiday resorts: Ooty resort stay, south India is website of sagar resort.

All these rates doesnot include any food except for complimantary breakfast sometimes.

Getting booking is one tricky job sometimes because Ooty is crowded always.

About my Innova although my going abroad I postponed it or cancelled it almost because I got good offer for my well Maintained Innova and I don't wanted to break the words about selling deal with the new owner. So I sold it and baught Alto Lxi.

I have heard new look Innova is good package and I am looking to grab it in next year provided global situation improves. If I plan to keep the vehicle for 10+ years then I will be buying TOP End Petrol Innova in 2009.

Now debate is between Safari and Innova which my family is valuating.

Regards,

Ravi.

Thank you Team, I have tons of pictures taken in this trip, hence more confused which one to load.

Yea I had to sell my Innova to be on safer side of the boat (I was melted with lot of wrong global decisions recently so trimmed my boat after lot of thinking) I have already seen sign of getting back on track in coming months. Always best planning and thinking positive to produce the winner! Thats the mantra I followed in 2001 too and so I will follow more than that this time.

New innova or Safari is due in 2009 so once that happens expect more travelogues

Regards,

Ravi.

Any specific reason you are not considering Diesel Innova? I thought for 10+ year of ownership and largely long driving, Diesel will be a good option?
I too am aiming for an Innova in 2009 - not sure Petrol or Diesel though

Loved your travelogue. Always good to have lots of pictures :-)

Nice trip report and fotos Ravi. Your travelogue reminded me of our own Ooty - Coonur trip we did sometime back. I hope this global meltdown ends soon and wish to see you cruising on a strong boat .
